Brett Callaghan launched IronEdge Nutrition in 2021 with a straightforward goal: build a supplement brand that earns trust through transparency. By early 2024 the Austin-based DTC store was moving enough product that the Yotpo Reviews Pro plan at $169/mo felt like a reasonable investment. Reviews were important; Yotpo had a strong reputation; the decision felt obvious.
Two years later, Brett pulled up IronEdge's Yotpo dashboard and ran a quick audit. The loyalty module? Never configured. The SMS marketing suite? Handled by a separate tool the team preferred. The UGC features? Barely touched. "We were essentially paying $169 a month for a review widget and an email request sequence," he said. "Everything else was just noise in the left-hand nav."
The tipping point arrived during a routine billing review. A higher-than-expected order month had pushed IronEdge over its tier limit, and the overage charge added another $40 to an already steep invoice. A $209 month for review collection snapped the team's attention. Brett started researching alternatives the same afternoon.
Brett's requirements were clear: automated review request emails, a display widget he could customise to match IronEdge's branding, a way to help customers share their reviews to Google and a handful of third-party platforms, and a price that reflected what he was actually using. He also ran a subscription programme through ReCharge and a points-based loyalty scheme through a separate loyalty app — both needed to keep working smoothly after any migration.
Review Multiplier Pro checked every box on the core list, and the price difference was stark enough to make the decision straightforward. The sticking point was migration anxiety. IronEdge had accumulated over 1,400 reviews across three years — those couldn't be left behind.
The Review Multiplier onboarding team walked Brett through Yotpo's standard CSV export in a short video call. Once the file was ready, the team handled the import directly, mapping Yotpo's review fields to Review Multiplier's schema and flagging a small number of records that needed manual attention. The entire migration was complete within 48 hours, with all 1,400+ reviews appearing in the Review Multiplier dashboard — complete with original dates and star ratings — before the next billing cycle.
Two custom integrations filled the gaps that no off-the-shelf connector covers. First, the onboarding team built a lightweight bridge between Review Multiplier's coupon code feature and IronEdge's loyalty app: when a customer submits a review, a discount code is automatically synced back to the loyalty platform so the customer's reward lands in the right account. Second, a webhook was configured to listen for ReCharge subscription shipment events and trigger a Review Multiplier review request email three days post-delivery — replicating the subscription review flow Brett had come to rely on in Yotpo. Both were delivered as free custom code, maintained by the Review Multiplier team.
Review Multiplier launched on the Shopify App Store in February 2026, and IronEdge was among the early adopters. Within the first few months, every new customer review is automatically rewritten by AI into unique, platform-optimised versions through ShareYourOpinion — and the customer is then prompted to post those versions themselves across up to ten platforms, with Review Multiplier automatically opening the relevant browser tabs to make it effortless. IronEdge can now reach Google, Trustpilot, and eight other destinations from a single customer review — something Yotpo never offered. Review volume on Google Business Profile has climbed noticeably since the switch.
The monthly bill dropped from $169 (often more, with overages) to a flat $25. That $1,728 annual saving now funds three months of paid social. "We were paying for an enterprise platform we'd outgrown in the wrong direction — we grew past the price point without growing into the features," Brett said.
